The Miramar

Following public hearings with the Landmarks Commission and the Architectural Review Board in 2018, we made some key design revisions to the Wilshire Boulevard and Second Street elevations along with enhancements to the California Building. These revisions are illustrated below as compared to the 2018 Concept Design Package. For more detailed information on these enhancements to the design, please see link to Copy of the Concept Design Package Addendum.

“Listening to the thoughtful feedback from stakeholders across the city has been a valuable experience. We have modified our design to further integrate the hotel with Downtown Santa Monica, including enhancements that will both improve the pedestrian experience along Wilshire Boulevard and Second Street and provide a stronger connection to the historic Palisades Building.

These changes have made what was already a very good project even better. I am confident that the reimagined Miramar will continue to be an important part of the fabric of this community for generations to come.”
